The thoughts are fading I once knew
The dreams I used to seek, are dissolving as I speak
Tell me what's going on, I haven't got a clue?

I can't feel my heart any more, is it beating?
Emotions fading I once knew.
It used to beat along, there was music dance and song
There was was so much for a happy heart to do

I'm not your puppet, don't have strings you can control
I'm not your mongrel who will fetch all that you throw
You can send me off to classes, try to get me to obey
I'd rather tie myself in knots, or chase this tail all day...

Tickle me I'd love it – whatever floats your boat....
I could learn a million tricks – rosettes upon my coat...
